Rajya Sabha Math

       As election commision declare scheduled for Biennial election of Rajya Sabha (Council of States) for 58 seats, all political start to solve maths of managing or winning Rajya Sabha seats. 

      Currently BJP is Single largest Party with 58 seats in RS, Cong is just behind it with 54 seats in Upper House of Parliament. What will be party position of RS after biennial poll of Rajya Sabha ? Look at the follow, I am trying to explain you picture of Upper House after Biennnial Election.

Haryana: 
Haryana have election for lone RS seat which currently held by cong but now BJP is rulling the state therefore BJP will gain it from cong
means BJP +1
           INC -1

Rajasthan: 

Rajasthan have election for 3 seats of which 2 with cong and 1 with BJP, but strength of BJP in Rajasthan Assembly will give all 3 seats to them
         BJP +2
         INC -2

Gujrat: Gujarat have 4 seat which will go to poll, currently all 4 with BJP but after BJP manage to retain the state with narrow margin therefore they manage to win just 2 of 4
       BJP -2
       INC +2

Maharashtra:
Maharashtra have election for 6 seats of them 2 each held by NCP and Congress and 1 each by BJP and Sena but considering Strength in Asembly BJP will gain 1-1 seats from Cong and NCP

Karnataka:
Karnataka have biennial poll for 4 seats, of them 2 held by BJP, 1 by Independent (Rajiv Chandrashekhar), 1 by Congress but due to current assembly strength Cong will win 2 seats surely and can win 3rd seat by support of Independent and JDS rebel MLA

Andhra Pradesh:

Andhra have election for 3 seats of them 2 with INC and 1 with TDP, with current strength TDP will gain 1 seat and YSRCP will gain 1 seat

Teleangana have poll for 3 seats of them 1 with TDP, 1 with INC and one is vacant. COnsidering strength in Assembly TRS will gain this seats

Utter Pradesh:

UP have have poll for 10 seats of which 6 with SP, 1 each with BSP, INC and BJP, 1 seats is vacant

Uttarakhand:

BJP will gain lone seat of Uttarakhand from Congress

Chhattisgarh:

BJP will retain its lone seat

Jharkhand:

Jharkhand have election for 2 seaat, of which 1 each held by INC and JMM. with current strength BJP will 1 seat and there will fight for 2nd seat with JMM/INC

Kerala have by poll for 1 seats which will go to CPM

By calculating above all gain/lose BJP will gain 10 seats INC will loose 5 seats and 2 seats (JH and BH) will have fight between BJP and INC, and 1 Seat of UP will have fight between BJP and BSP
